44 Students. 27 Schools. 1 Opportunity of a Lifetime.
Each year, Broadway in Hollywood hosts THE JERRY HERMAN HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS with one goal: to constructively support local high school performing arts programs.
This year's goal was even clearer: THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
The Jerry Herman Awards competition this year took on a different format from previous years. We applaud all of our participating schools for joining our competition this year. Whether a school presented a high school musical in-person, or virtually, all schools were given the opportunity to submit two students to submit audition videos for review by our esteemed panel of judges.
IN STORE FOR OUR WINNERS: A LIFE-CHANGING WEEK IN NYC COMPETING AT THE 2022 JIMMY AWARDS!
The National High School Musical Theatre Awards™ (AKA "The Jimmy Awards") was established in 2009 to elevate the importance of theatre arts education in schools and reward excellence in student performance. The program impacts over 50,000 students annually who participate in high school musical theatre competitions sponsored by thirty professional theatres throughout the US.
