ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
BROADWAY IN HOLLYWOOD AT THE HOLLYWOOD PANTAGES THEATRE
LOS ANGELES, CABroadway in Hollywood at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, the home of touring Broadway in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced, full-time Assistant General Manager.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant General Manager works closely with the President of Broadway in Hollywood and the management team to ensure the operational success of the theatre and the productivity and well-being of staff, acting as the face and voice of Broadway in Hollywood to both staff and patrons.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the President with all operational aspects of the theatre.
- Review engagement contracts, create expense estimates, and conduct the weekly financial settlement with touring productions.
- Develop goals, policies, and procedures for BIH.
- Provide exceptional team leadership, collaborate with all departments to build and achieve goals, and ensure efficient cross-departmental communication.
- Proofread and edit marketing materials, and ensure website, app, and all patron correspondence embodies the desired voice and clarity of BIH.
- Compose job descriptions and assist in the hiring process.
- Thoughtfully reply to patron communications in a timely manner and assist customer service representatives in crafting considerate responses.
- Guide the organization toward appropriate change.
- Counsel staff in need of clarity or guidance.
- Represent BIH at community events.
- Supervise compliance with collective bargaining agreements and serve as a primary liaison with the various Unions that work with BIH and represent BIH in labor negotiations.
- Assist with Human Resources investigations.
- Act as a point of contact for the touring productions in advance of, and during, their engagement.
- Address issues proactively, mediate conflicts, provide guidance, and apply critical thinking to devise creative solutions.
- Support the organization’s focus on Accessibility, including sourcing and scheduling Access providers.
- Oversee and offer guidance regarding the policies and procedures for the Presidents Club that includes Membership renewals, new sales, and ticket fulfillment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong fluency in theatrical operations and the touring Broadway landscape.
- Significant managerial experience at a large performing arts or other event venue or Broadway touring management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Arts Management, Business, or similar subject is desirable, but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and workflow optimization. Additional experience with data visualization and ticketing platforms, including Tableau, Ticketmaster, Archtics, and NLiven, is highly desirable.
- Good listening, speaking, and writing skills, including in conflict resolution.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with good time management.
- Detail-oriented, yet able to see the fuller picture.
- Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues in a timely manner – a problem solver.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
REPORTING TO: President
DIRECT REPORTS: Director of Operations, Operations Coordinator, GM Assistant.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Maintenance Technician

Broadway in Hollywood is in search of a highly skilled, experienced Maintenance Technician to join our thriving team at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, one of Los Angeles' leading homes for legitimate theatre. As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the historic Hollywood Pantages Theatre.
Job-Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, may occasionally work on weekends.
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Compensation: $67,000 per year
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a comparable role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems along with the necessary knowledge of tools needed to complete the tasks
- Exhibit proficiency in comprehending and applying technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate physical endurance and manual dexterity necessary for labor-intensive tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and trades
- Be comfortable working independently as needed
- Ability to use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, etc
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs on company facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Perform thorough inspections to proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments, prioritizing urgent needs.
- Troubleshooting and repairs of building and installed systems that include mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, HVAC, shop, ceiling tiles, door hardware, wall paint, floor, and additional items as necessary
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- Maintain meticulous records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and departmental supplies
- Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Exhibit proficiency in the proper use and care of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors/contractors for major repairs, renovations, and improvements
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Pantages directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the work environment for optimal functionality and safety

The Hollywood Pantages Theatre seeks a Traffic Control Crew Member
The Hollywood Pantages Theatre, located in Hollywood, California seeks a parttime/
seasonal Traffic Control Crew member. This position consists of monitoring a
particular location whether it be a street or parking lot, that is housing trucks transporting
equipment to be used in touring theatrical productions. You may need to be present to
observe a tow-away zone or parking lot and ensure no one parks there so it is secure for
when the transfer trucks arrive. When trucks begin to arrive, you will be present to direct the
trucks where to park and move traffic cones out of the way for them to enter the designated
locations. This role averages about 10+ hours per month, mostly between Saturday-
Tuesday. Perfect for those seeking extra income and have availability in their schedule,
including possible late night, overnight and/or early morning shifts.Job-Type: Part-time/Seasonal show by show basis
Reporting to: Assistant Production Manager
Compensation: $19 per hourRequirements:
- Strong awareness and vigilance in monitoring streets or parking lots.
- Ability to direct trucks and manage traffic flow safely and efficiently.
- Physically able to move cones, set up barriers, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working independently or in small teams, often during late nights or early mornings.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions from supervisors.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with drivers, patrons, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Monitor streets and parking areas to ensure they remain clear and secure for arriving production trucks.
- Direct incoming trucks to their designated locations and assist with safe maneuvering by managing traffic cones and barriers.
- Enforce tow-away zones and no-parking areas by monitoring permits and contacting towing services when necessary.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of traffic control equipment, including cones, stanchions, and street barricades, especially during high-traffic events.
- Help manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic during busy performances, including opening nights and group arrivals by bus.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, group leaders, and Front of House staff to ensure efficient patron ingress and egress.
- Report any issues, safety concerns, or unauthorized activity to the Assistant Production Manager promptly.
- Maintain a professional and helpful presence while working independently or in a small team environment, often during irregular hours.

Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant duties will include account reconciliations as well as other accounts receivable and accounts payable related tasks. This position will report directly to the Controller of Broadway in Hollywood. Our ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Excel, has a strong knowledge of accounting principles.Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
Reports To: Controller
Salary: $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experienceRequirements:
- BA in Accounting/Finance preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts payable/receivable and/or general ledger accounting
- MS Office experience – strong Excel skills
- NetSuite Accounting System experience and proficiency preferred
- Ability to multitask

Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and maintain bank reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet accounts analysis
- Post daily/weekly incoming check/wire/ACH payments (including inter-company payments)
- Create show/events on NetSuite and update accordingly
- Research and track credit card chargebacks
- Reconcile box office/subscription/Ticketmaster sales and record the journal entries in the general ledger
- Download and maintain various financial reports (ie: Parking/Square/Flex Spending)
- Assist with special projects as needed
